Zusammenfassung:railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tank cars designed for transportation of liquids thickening and solidifying at low temperatures, such as residual fuel oil. Proposed tank has cylindrical barrel with upper filler hatch and lower drain branch pipe. Two baffles 4 are installed inside barrel in its lower portion, and foam generator in its upper portion. Foam generator has electric motor 5, foam forming device 6 and auger 7. With foam generator operating, foam is produced which is dispersed into fine bubbles introduced into mass of fuel oil. Fuel oil-air dispersoid, thus formed, is fed through foam conduit under baffles 4. Dispersoid, whose density is lower than that of fuel oil, rises along inner walls of tank, and it solidifies with time. Thermal conductivity of liquid and solid layers of dispersoid is hundred times less than that of liquid. Layer of dispersoid plays the part of heat insulator preventing cooling and thickening of residual fuel oil. Cleaning of barrel walls after draining of residual fuel oil is less costly and labor input and energy expenditure are reduced as strength of solidified dispersoid is ten times lower than strength of solidified residual fuel oil.
