SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel derivatives of 4-hydroxypiperidine of the formula (I): where X means O-, -NH-, -CH2-, -CH=, -CHOH- or CO-; R1-R4 mean independently each of other hydrogen atom, hydroxy-group, (lower) alkylsulfonylamino-group or acetamido-group; R5-R8 mean independently each of other hydrogen atom, hydroxy-group, (lower)alkyl, halogen atom, (lower)alkoxy-group, trifluoromethyl-group or trifluoromethoxy- -group; "a" and "b" can mean a double bond under condition that when "a" means a double bond then "b" can not mean a double bond; n = 0-2; m = 1-3; p = 0 or 1, and their pharmaceutically acceptable additive salts. Compounds are selective antagonists of subtype NMDA-(N-methyl-D-aspartate)-receptors that can take part in mediating processes based on the development of the central nervous system including the formation and function of ability to teaching and memory.
