Zusammenfassung:metallurgy, namely, steel continuous casting processes. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of determining at casting process position of liquid phase ending and temperature gradient along thickness of skin in zone of detecting temperature of billet surface according to formula: where DELTAT is temperature gradient, C; Tcr is steel crystallization temperature, C; Ts is temperature of billet surface at outlet of secondary cooling zone, C; l is distance from metal meniscus until temperature detecting point, m; V is working rate of billet drawing out, m/min; K is coefficient of billet solidifying equal to 2,5-2,8 sm/min1/2;; delta is thickness of solidified skin in position of placing pyrometer, cm. In addition when end of liquid phase is positioned in temperature detection point temperature gradient is determined according to formula: DELTAT/delta = 2(TÛ-T´)/h , where h - thickness of continuously cast billet, cm; delta- - thickness of solidified skin in position of placing pyrometer, cm. Method provides desired ingot structure of necessary steel kinds, namely, of steel sheets with thickness less than 100 mm. Such ingot structure provides desired metal properties in condition of low reduction degree in direction normal relative to sheet surface and production of thick steel sheets for ship bodies subjected to different loads. EFFECT: possibility for making ingot with enhanced structure providing desired properties of steel sheets. 2 cl, 3 ex
