SUBSTANCE: sectional grinding wheel has metal body with peripheral slots where change members with working layers made from superhard abrasive material and mechanism for securing them are placed. Change members are made in form of faceted inserts; face of each such insert is provided with working layer made from superhard abrasive material. Faces of change members have radius equal to radius of working surface of wheel and their mounting surfaces form prism with number of faces equal to number of working faces. After working layer of first face has been worn, change inserts are placed in new position using the subsequent faces for grinding. EFFECT: enhanced durability of change members. 3 dwg
