Zusammenfassung:mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for damping vibrations conveyed from internal combustion engine to exhaust system, reducing loads and suppressing internal and external noises. Proposed suppressor has bellows and cylindrical fairing with holes. Fairing is cantilever-mounted on bellows at side of gas inlet. Bellows has corrugations of different width, i/e. narrow and wide ones. Row of holes is made in cylindrical fairing in cross plane in place of location of bellows wide corrugation nearest to gas inlet. Holes in row are uniformly spaced over entire length of circumference of fairing cross-section. Holes in fairing in direction of gas flow from place of location of bellows wide corrugation nearest to gas inlet are made in form of slots. Slots in each of cross rows are distributed non-uniformly over length of circumference of cross- section of cylindrical fairing. Number of slots in cross rows on one half of fairing is made increasing relative to longitudinal plane of section, and on opposite half, relative to said longitudinal plane of section, number of slots in cross rows is made decreasing in direction of gas flow. Contour of cross with slots is DELTA-shaped for each of said halves of cylindrical fairing. EFFECT: improved suppression of vibrations and noises. 4 cl, 3 dwg
