Zusammenfassung:	coal thermochemical processing; applicable in by-product coke industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing of coal with additive, introduction of solvent to form suspension, treatment under pressure of own gases at elevated temperature. Preliminarily applied to additive surface is catalyst in form of salts of transition metals in amount of 4.0-6.0 of additive weight. Additive is used in from of waste of plant of coke dry quenching-dusty coke in amount of 1.0-1.5% of coal weight. Solvent is introduced into prepared coal in ratio of (1.0-2.5):1 and heated to temperature of 210-250 C for 0.3-0.6 h. EFFECT: higher quality of desired product. 5 tbl, 1 dwg
