SUBSTANCE: apparatus for making forgings with relation of length to diameter equal to 3 or more includes mechanism for rotating lower plate. Said mechanism is in the form of two hydraulic cylinders rigidly joined by means of rods with rack transmission and through pipelines - with power hydraulic cylinder. Apparatus allows to select optimal mode of deforming blank at controlling twisting degree of blank according to its upsetting value. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
