Gear includes drum of winch with logging cable wound on it, adjustable drive of drum with hydraulic pump linked to driving engine, device controlling rotation speed of winch. Drive of drum comes in the form of reduction gear with stepless adjustment of gear ratio linked via differential mechanism and two chain transmissions to both sides of drum of winch. Reduction gear with adjustable gear ratio is manufactured in the form of planetary mechanism carrying input and output central wheels interconnected by pinions. Pinion carrier is fitted with toothed ring engaging gear reversible hydraulic pump whose inlet ducts are linked to oil-filled case of drum and whose outlet ducts are also linked to same case through controlling device made in the form of adjustable throttle. EFFECT: expanded operation range, provision for stepless adjustment of rate of run in and pull out of down-hole logging instruments under high-load conditions with simultaneous simplification of gear and increased functional reliability of it. 1 dwg
