Flotation reagent is prepared by modification of vegetable raw by method of catalytical oxidation in aqueous alkaline solutions in the presence of copper divalent salts. Reagent has the following composition, wt. -%: starch modified by carboxyl groups, 50-80; partially hydrolyzed protein, 7-30; hydrolyzed lipids, 0.9-12; sugars, 1-8; cellulose, 1.5-12 and mineral substances, the balance. Invention can be used in processing sulfide, nonsulfide, iron, phosphorus- and boron-containing ores and rare and precious metals also, coal and mining and chemical raw.
