Zusammenfassung:automotive industry; exhaust systems of automobiles. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst converters designed for neutralization of toxic matter in exhaust gases of automobile engines. Proposed catalyst converter has housing accommodating metal passage with carrier and additional carrier, made in form of truncated cone with side holes. Smaller base of cone is connected with inlet branch pipe in which restrictor is installed. Larger base is connected by passages with metal carrier assembled from series-connected honeycomb elements arranged between two perfluorinated plates. Passages in honeycomb elements are made in form of hexagonal prisms installed one after the other. Longitudinal axes of geometrical symmetry of first prisms coincide with longitudinal axes of geometrical symmetry of following prisms. Belts made of high heat conduction material are installed on outer surface of housing. Inner surfaces of housing, inlet branch pipe, and outer and inner side surfaces of additional carrier are coated with layer of nickel. All surfaces of honeycomb elements and perfluorinated plates are coated with layer of composite material of following composition and ratio of components, mass %: 40% Ni, 25% Fe3O4, 27% Cr2O3 and 8% V2O5. Additional carrier, honeycomb elements and perfluorinated plates can be made from porous material. Larger base and perfluorinated plate close to larger base are arranged so that ratio of distance 1 between them to diameter d of smaller base is within the limits defined by inequality 0,14
