Zusammenfassung: | nuclear power engineering; recovery of cesium- and strontium- containing fuels. SUBSTANCE: crushed wastes are mixed up with charge containing calcium oxide, titanium, and titanium oxide, TiO2 to Ti ratio being 1: 3, Al2O3 to SiO2 ratio, 1:2; calcium nitrate and/or ferric oxide is used as oxidizer. Mixture prepared in the process is compressed and placed in pressurized reactor wherein it is subjected to heat treatment under self-spreading high-temperature fusion conditions by initiating burning reaction of charge component. End product of fusion is high- temperature ceramics whose main component is perovskite phase wherein cesium and strontium radionuclides are uniformly distributed and reliably immobilized.
