Zusammenfassung:preparation of aluminium hydroxide and alumina. SUBSTANCE: method comprises decomposing aluminate solution in the presence of seed, filtering aluminium hydroxide and drying thereof. During drying process, aluminium hydroxide is classified to grain size of less than 40 mcm. Dry aluminium hydroxide having fraction of less than 40 mcm is used as seed for decomposing aluminate solution or as commercial product. Dry aluminium hydroxide having fraction of greater than 40 mcm is calcined to give larger aluminium oxide. EFFECT: reduced content of impurities in the resulting product. 1 dwg
