SUBSTANCE: graphite-containing composition comprises, wt %: graphite, 20-70; binder, 10-30; silicon carbide, the balance. Silicon carbide powder has fractions: wt %: 250-91 mcm, 50-70; less than 90 mcm, 30-50. From this body products are molded at pressure of 50-120 kgf/sq.cm in mold heated to 60-70 C. Compacted product is pretreated at 300 C without reducing pressure for 15-30 min. Products are finally fired at 950-1100 C in coke filling for 24 h. Density of the resulting material is 2.82-3.06 g/cm compression strength is 4180-4950 kgf/sq.cm. EFFECT: higher corrosion resistance of the product. 2 cl, 2 tbl
