Zusammenfassung:mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying sealing mixture to thread coils with following stripping of thread; drying article. Sealing mixture contains fire-resistant suspension based on hydrolyzed ethylsilicate and fine-grained filler - powdered quartz. Thread is stripped by performing continuous rotating motions. Solidification of suspension is determined by time of drying at normal temperature. Filler with particles of predetermined size is used as mixture component. Sand mixture is used for manufacture of ceramic mold for production of steel ingots by lost wax method of cast on the base of fire-resistant suspension of hydrolyzed ethylsilicate solution and fine-grained filler - powdered quartz as sealant for threaded connections. Sand mixture resists high temperatures (steel melting temperature, i.e. temperature exceeding 1,500 C), has minimum thermal expansion coefficient and heat conductivity, and does not require high- temperature drying process, which is inadmissible in case sand mixture is employed for manufacture of weapons, since drying process reduces strength of weapon. Solidification occurs at normal temperature or, when intensified process is required, at temperature not exceeding 100-150 C. Method and mixture are used for connecting joined surfaces of parts in machines, units operating under high temperature and pressure conditions, may be used in gas pipeline connections, in particular, in gas discharge engines of automatic weapons.
