Zusammenfassung:mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves registering and fixing workpiece on centers; supplying cutting fluid to centers working surface subjected to friction; discharging cutting fluid from mentioned surface via discharge circuit. Cutting fluid is supplied to centers working cone cooperating with central opening of workpiece. Vacuum is provided in cutting fluid discharge circuit. Apparatus has center with working surface, cylindrical belt, axial and eccentric openings for supplying and discharge of cutting fluid, respectively, and zone protective mechanism, and is further provided with switching off mechanism, roller bearing, support, button with latch, two retainers, and three seals. Zone protective mechanism is made in the form of casing mounted on center cylindrical belt on roller bearing for rotation relative to axis of center, and sleeve with longitudinal slot. Sleeve is spring-loaded and mounted on casing for longitudinal displacement relative to it. Both retainers are mounted on sleeve and torque transmitting pins are spring-loaded relative to sleeve and positioned inside it. Two seals are positioned inside casing and within sleeve of zone protective mechanism for cooperation with center cylindrical belt. Third seal is positioned on sleeve end for cooperation with workpiece end. Switch off mechanism is made in the form of L-shaped lever with transverse opening. L-shaped lever is mounted for rotation in sleeve longitudinal slot on support. Longer arm of L-shaped lever is engageable with one of retainers, and button with latch is positioned and spring-loaded in it, and shorter arm is engageable with casing end and with second retainer mounted on sleeve for insertion into L-shaped lever transverse opening.
