Heat treatment is carried out in current of air at temperatures from 350 to 550 C. After heat treatment of gibbsite is over, the resulting product is washed to remove sodium followed by plasticization of suspension having heat-treated solid produce content of 8-15% at pH of 1-4 and temperature rise of suspension in plasticization stage from 130 to 200 C at temperature rise rate of 10-25 c/h for 6-15 h, pH value of suspension directed to be spay dried varies within 4-10. Invention allow one to improve quality of the product. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 1 tbl
