SUBSTANCE: sliding gate has fixed and movable refractory plates mounted in adjusting frame and slide, respectively, through spring-loaded retainers, each of the latter being positioned lengthwise of each plate. Side arms are hung on spring blocks fixed to supporting rod. Spring blocks and retainers provide fixing and biasing of plates one to the other. Slide supports are mounted on side arms in immovable position to prevent plates from undesired turning. Sliding gate of such construction is used in casting ladle for pouring steel and other metals. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved strength of sliding gate. 4 dwg
