SUBSTANCE: extensive dehydration of natural bitumens and high-viscosity crude oils to residual water content below 0.5% ensures compatibility with natural bitumen deasphalting process. Dehydration is accomplished by mixing water-bitumen emulsion with solvent at weight ratio from 1:0.5 to 1:2, respectively, followed by settling working mixture to form two-phase system and separating phases. Extraction with acetone is effected as 1- to 4-contact step process. EFFECT: reduced consumption of demulsifiers, simplified technology, and increased dehydration efficiency. 2 dwg, 11 tbl
