SUBSTANCE: mold includes housing having non-cooled portion adjacent to metal duct of metal receiver and made of refractory material such as graphite and cooled portion separated from non-cooled portion by layer of heat insulation material and made of metal such as copper. In both portions of mold housing there are through ducts embedding buildup graphite sleeves joining said portions and copper sleeves inserted to cooled portion at side of outlet end of housing until their contact with graphite sleeves. Opening in cooled portion of housing and sleeve surfaces engaging with said portion are threaded. Slit type water cooled jacket is fit onto cooled portion. Mold is provided with additional cooling zone having sprayers that may be separate for each strand or common for all strands. Ends of copper sleeves may be arranged in additional cooling zone. Copper sleeves have radial passages for feeding lubricant and(or) shield gas into shaping duct. Graphite sleeves may have cone ends.
