Zusammenfassung:ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, namely ladles, converters and other heating aggregates with carrying metallic housing. SUBSTANCE: refractory stone has protrusion along the whole width of its end surface turned to metallic housing. Area of said protrusion consists 5-80% of total area of end surface. Protrusion is shifted relative to main portion of stone for forming dent on lateral portion of stone with dent area consisting 10-33% of area of protrusion of end surface. Stone includes recess on lateral face of main portion normal relative to its lateral portion with dent, said recess passes along the whole length of face. On opposite face stone includes another protrusion whose shape corresponds to that of recess. It provides fluid tightness of stonework. Protrusion and therefore recess may have triangular, trapezoidal, rectangular, semicircular, oval shape. Double-layer lining of aggregate with carrying metallic housing includes reinforcing and working layers. Reinforcing layer is made of above mentioned refractory stones, working layer, preferably is made of refractory members having additional portion shifted relative to main portion in one or two mutually normal directions. Service life period of such lining exceeds by 40-60% service life period of lining with traditional structures of reinforcing and working layers. EFFECT: reduced temperature stresses of lining, improved mechanical strength and erosion resistance of lining, increased useful life. 6 cl, 3 dwg
