SUBSTANCE: four-high rolling stand includes housing with guides supporting backup rolls with chocks, rolling rolls with chocks joined with chocks of backup rolls; mechanism for balancing upper backup roll having hydraulic cylinder and beams joined with it and engaging with protrusions of chocks of upper backup roll. Upper crosspiece of stand housing supports hydraulic cylinders for pressing upper rolling roll to upper backup roll. Said cylinders are mutually joined by means of tie rods with clamps upon which through sliders chocks of rolling rolls rest. Slider by means of articulation joint assembly is joined with block mounted with possibility of motion in housing guides. Mechanism for axial fixation of rolling roll is mounted in slider. Chocks of lower rolling roll are provided with runners; in housing there are stationary guides mounted with possibility of engaging with runners for roll changing. In stand housing there are protrusions arranged at level of lower rolling roll and supporting hydraulic cylinders for pressing lower rolling roll to lower backup roll. Said cylinders engage with protrusions of chocks of lower backup rolls. Rolling rolls are moved with the aid of screwdown mechanism mounted on upper crosspiece of housing and apparatus for mounting lower rolling rolls.
