SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vertical cutter with detachable ribs on its side surfaces for compacting slit wall soil. Ribs are formed as truncated four-sided pyramids with trapezium-shaped bases. Pyramid bases are arranged in opposed relation and joined to slots in cutter side surfaces. Larger base of trapezia are oriented toward cutter edge. Ribs are interconnected by fastening member. Such construction intensifies discharge of water into soil layers by increased volume of slit. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved water absorbing capacity by increased volume of slit and improved strength of slit wall. 5 cl, 2 dwg
