Zusammenfassung: | ferrous metallurgy; applicable in capacity of iron charge in steel melting in different steel-making units. SUBSTANCE: charge blank is briquette in shape and contains components in the following ratio, wt.%: metallic iron, 63-75; iron oxides, 18-29; carbon, 5.0-7.0; gangue, the balance. Carbon-oxygen ratio of iron oxides exceeds or equals 0.8. Charge blank is produced by heating of iron-ore materials in presence of reducing agent, and briquetting. Reduction is carried out to degree of metallization amounting to 75-85%. Prior to briquetting, hot reduced iron-ore materials are treated with mixture of natural gas and unsaturated hydrocarbons taken in ratio of (1.85-3.15):1, and subjected to carburization to carbon content in them of 5-7%. Unsaturated hydrocarbon is used in the form of acetylene. Reducing agent is used in the form of carbon or carbon-containing materials in the form of carbon black, coal, coke, broken carbon lining, oil coke, reducing gases. Produced charge briquettes are comparable in quality with iron-rich pellets and whose cost does not exceed that of metal scrap but possessing higher metallurgical properties due to optimization of carbon-oxygen ratio in briquette. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex |
