METHOD FOR MAKING OUTER RACES OF ROLLING BEARING ASSEMBLY

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely cold expanding of races of rolling bearings. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily turning annular shaped blank, subjecting blank to cold expansion for making race with predetermined profile. At turning process forming profile of blank according to condition that expansion coefficients along race track of ready race, along beads and grooves for sealings differ one from another no more than by 6%. Expanding effort and(or) feeding rate of expanding tool are set in dependance upon speed of change of outer diameter of race. At expanding process cutting fluid is fed to zone of blank outlet from deformation region. It is possible to make grooves for sealings with depth value equal to 4-4.5 mm and consisting 40-50% of race wall thickness. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of cold expansion process, increased assortment of races, improved strength of tool due to lowered deformation stresses of blank, high accuracy of expansion. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 3 ex
