Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, preparation of metal-bearing burden for melting of steel and alloys in arc electric furnaces. SUBSTANCE: burden blank is prepared by loading of solid filling agents into charging boxes of casting conveyer and by pouring liquid iron-carrying alloy on to them in two steps. Temperature of poured alloy is 1381-1450 C. Pigs removed from charging boxes are tumbled. Tumbling barrel is positioned casting machine between conveyer and container for collection and transportation of blanks. Burden composed of iron- carrying material, ground quicklime in the amount of 1.0-10.0 per cent by mass and carbon-carrying material in the amount of 0.5-5.0 per cent by mass is used to prepare pellets employed as filling agents in burden blank.
