SUBSTANCE: aerodynamic characteristic of additional source of draft ( automobiles, passenger and cargo trains, etc ) moving through mine workings is calculated analytically. Calculation takes into account geometric and aerodynamic parameters of additional source of draft and mine workings through which this source moves. This characteristic is taken into consideration when ventilation network is designed. It makes it possible to determine air distribution though individual branches of ventilation network more objectively. EFFECT: increased safety of miners working in mine workings, diminished ventilation expenses. 2 tbl
