Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: amino acids, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method of synthesis of gamma-L-glutamylhistamine of the formula (I). Method involves acylation of histamine with gamma-pentafluorophenyl ester of L-glutamic acid L-tert.-butylhydroxycarbonyl--alpha--benzyl ester in an organic solvent followed by removal of protecting groups, hydrogenolysis, isoelectric precipitation and recrystallization. Invention relates also to the use of the compound of the formula (I) as an agent showing an antioxidant, antiradical, lipid-regulating, hypoglycaemic, antiasthmatic, hepatoprotective, antiviral, antibacterial, antitumor, antimetastatic, adaptogenic effect and capability to modulate metabolism of arachidonic acid and other therapeutic effects. Invention relates to also a pharmaceutical composition showing the above indicated properties that includes an active component - the compound of the formula (I) taken at the effective amount and special additions.
