Zusammenfassung:FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: fuel system has service bottle with liquefied dimethyl ether with two valves for taking off liquid and vapor phases, fuel-feed pump and plunger-type fuel-injection pump connected successively to liquid phase takeoff valve. Fuel-injection pump has fuel intake and cutoff spaces and is connected by high-pressure pipes with nozzles delivering dimethyl ether into engine cylinders at proper time at compression and expansion strokes. Volumetric delivery of fuel-feed pump is 6-8 times greater than that of fuel-injection pump. maximum injection pressure is 30-35 MPa. Fuel intake and cutoff spaces in fuel-injection pump are made single-sides. Plunger pairs are provided with drain grooves in liners connected with supply space. Under-plunger space of pump communicates with engine intake system. Cutoff space is connected to vapor phase valve of service bottle through spring-loaded valve providing pressure of liquid phase of dimethyl ether in high pressure supply space at level 2-3 times greater than dimethyl ether saturated vapor pressure.
