Zusammenfassung:FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, methods of melting of vanadium-containing steel in electric arc steel furnaces. SUBSTANCE: method includes charging of iron charge; melting of iron charge; oxidation of admixtures with vanadium and withdrawal of oxidizing slag; addition of slag-forming mixture of vanadium converter slag, lime and fluorspar; preliminary deoxidation of metal in furnace; subsequent deoxidation of slag by addition of coke powder and ferrosilicon; tapping of metal and slag from furnace into ladle; final deoxidation of steel in ladle. Vanadium-containing slag, lime and fluorspar are added with their ratio in mixture of 1:(0.3-1.0):(0.2-0.4), respectively. After preliminary deoxidation of metal, slag in furnace is deoxidized with mixture of coke powder, crushed ferrosilicon and aluminum shot with ratio of C:Si:Al=1:(2.0-2.2):(1.5-1.6). First, tapped from furnace is slag and then metal. EFFECT: higher degree of assimilation of vanadium in direct alloying of steel with vanadium converter slag and stable withdrawal of vanadium into steel. 1 tbl
