Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: processing very active solutions formed during recovery of spent nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: device has pressurized shell with pipe connections for feeding radioactive solution, charging the sorbent, and discharging the saturated sorbent; crucible for sorbent saturation, drying, and baking; device is also provided with crucible suspension unit assembled of flexible rods inclined to horizontal plane each of them being installed depending on desired angle of turn of particular rod relative to axis of crucible revolution at angle which is a multiple of 350 deg./n, where n is number of rods; movable permanent magnet of magnetic core is mounted on crucible bearing shaft; electromagnet is mounted outside the shell; crucible is flat and has helical sorbent-discharge duct on inner inclined side wall which is unidirectional with crucible helical vibrations; heating elements are installed in ducts for heating crucible on top and at bottom. Device functions to solidify transuranium elements and other long-lived radionuclides (such as technetium) using matrix of granular adsorbent (such as silica gel) to obtain form suitable for provisional storage of such radionuclides for solidifying medium-lived radionuclides (such as cesium) using similar matrix to produce calcinate which is then transformed into glass (for example, in high-quality melter). EFFECT: improved radiation and nuclear safety of process. 2 dwg |
