METHANE CONVERTER MIXER

FIELD: chemical industry; manufacture of special purpose equipment used in ammonia production lines. SUBSTANCE: methane converter mixer includes cylindrical housing with bottom where the following components are arranged: device for forming flow of one of gaseous media to be mixed which consists of taper ferrule with sleeve, cylindrical ferrule and solution forming circular passage together with inner walls of housing and bottom; inlet branch pipe located coaxially relative to cylindrical housing on side opposite to bottom; injectors for delivery of media to be mixed to mixing zone which are secured in bottom and are communicated with branch pipe through circular passage. Flow forming device is provided with central gas duct connecting the inlet branch pipe with bottom portion of circular passage. Gas duct is made in sectional form consisting of upper and lower sleeves interconnected telescopically; its upper end is connected through ring secured on casing and lower end is secured on taper ferrule. Gas duct provides for intensive cooling of bottom and cylindrical ferrule by gas being mixed. Bottom is spheroconical in shape. Injectors are secured on body by means of detachable joint; diameter of lower sleeve exceeds diameter of upper sleeve; supply tubes are secured on bottom through detachable joints. EFFECT: facilitated procedure of manufacture; improved temperature conditions of mixer and consequently increased service life. 1 dwg
