Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: metallurgy, mainly technologies of direct reduction of metal. SUBSTANCE: method is aimed at maintenance of continuity and duration of test with simultaneous determination of concentration of iron oxides in sludge. This is achieved by dipping of electrode insulated from ground into sludge and by measurement of inductance of circuit electrode-sludge bath-aggregate body (ground) on various frequencies. Oxidizability of sludge is found by value of inductance. Oxidizability is determined by position of local maximum on curve "inductance-frequency".
