SUBSTANCE: electrochromic composition appropriate for use in various- destination displays, auto-car rear-view mirrors, and in windows of residential and industrial buildings contains, wt %: quaternary dipyridinium or its derivative salt with following anions: ClO-@4, BF-@4, [C2B9H12]-, [(C6H5)3CNB] , 0.7- 3.0; ferrocene or its derivative, 0.2-1.0; ferricinium or its derivative salt, 0.002-0.060; propylene carbonate or gamma- butyrolactone, the balance. Compositions possess increased stability and uniformity of electrically colored state. EFFECT: expanded possibilities of electrochromic devices. 3 cl, 13 ex
