FIREPLACE

FIELD: heating devices; comfort in dwellings. SUBSTANCE: prior to firing up fireplace, chimney shutoff device is open and shutoff device of side branch pipe is closed; inlet end of side branch pipe is located beyond room and outlet end is located above chimney shutoff device. Wood of various kind is burnt in firebox. Combustion products are exhausted from firebox into chimney due to natural draft. After burning of wood, firebox is disconnected from chimney to avoid escape of heated air to natural draft. To this end, after dying-down of fireplace chimney shutoff device is closed and shutoff device of side supply branch pipe is open. Outside air is sucked into branch pipe due to natural draft of chimney; air flows through open shutoff device of branch pipe and escapes outside through chimney. Chimney operates in mode of airing with outside air. EFFECT: reduced leakage of heated air through chimney shutoff device due to practically absent pressure differential. 2 cl, 3 dwg
