Zusammenfassung:FIELD: mechanical engineering and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes disassembling, fault-finding, making up of set and assembling of unit. After checking bearing components for condition, two plates are secured diametrically opposite to each other on seating surface of outer race of worn-out bearing. Thickness of plates is calculated by formula: Ssum = Sr+Scl where Ssum is summary thickness of plates; Sr is value of radial clearance in worn-out bearing; Scl is value of clearance in connection between housing hole and bearing outer race with due account of wear. This done, bearing is assembled. EFFECT: reduced cost of repair of bearing units, increased service life of antifriction bearings without affecting their performance characteristics. 2 dwg
