Zusammenfassung:FIELD: sports medicine. SUBSTANCE: method is designed to predict acute respiratory diseases in athletes during sports event periods. In athlete's blood, reduction activity of neutrophils ( ), level of biuret-positive molecules (X1), value of isopropanol-soluble products of peroxide oxidation of lipids (X2), and number of reticulocytes (X3) are measured. Risk index of development of acute respiratory diseases is calculated by inserting measured values in the following equation: A=X4+0.5. When A is below zero, development of acute respiratory disease is predicted. Accuracy of prediction is 95%. EFFECT: increased prediction accuracy. 2 ex
