Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises dissolving copolymer of organometallic compounds of tantalum and niobium in alcohol, e.g. methyl or ethyl alcohol, under normal pressure and temperature conditions and vigorous stirring till homogeneous liquid phase is formed. Said phase is subjected to separation, e.g. centrifugation, to prepare light fraction containing organometallic niobium compound, and heavy fraction containing organometallic tantalum compound. After removing excess amount of alcohol, e. g. by distillation, pure organometallic niobium compound and pure organometallic tantalum compound are obtained. The claimed method makes it possible to separate tantalum and niobium from copolymer of organometallic compounds of these compounds under normal compounds using simple equipment and safe reagents.
