Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, specifically, production of steel in oxygen converters. SUBSTANCE: method of cooling of heat in converter includes addition of carbon-carrying material on to overheated metal with slag to cool it to specified temperature of melt tapping. Content of carbon in carbon-carrying material amounts to 40-95% and its consumption equals 0.3-3.0 kg/t. Bottom agitation of metal with neutral gas is conducted during cooling of heat.
