Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: shipbuilding; general mechanical engineering for sealing-up revolving shafts. SUBSTANCE: seal includes main seal, load-bearing flexible member with clamping split ring and revolving antifriction sealing ring engageable with non-revolving antifriction sealing ring and emergency seal. Revolving antifriction sealing ring is made in form of impeller formed by radial and axial passages drilled in this ring. Non-revolving antifriction sealing ring has circulating passages. Emergency seal consists of at least two metal rings with flexible antifriction ring placed between them. Emergency seal is received by circular projection of stern tube at clearance relative to propeller shaft. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of seal. 2 dwg øøø1
