SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing at least one reactant into rotating and/or elongate calcining furnace for treating, for instance concentration, of titanic-ferrous material, with reactant(s) being introduced from several points along furnace length, and/or from points adjoining discharge end of furnace. Reactants may contain at least one chlorine-containing compound, sulfur, sulfur-containing compounds, magnesium-containing compounds, manganese-containing compounds, fluxes and glass forming reactants, including borates or borate mineral.
