METHOD OF VOLUME FIRE EXTINGUISHING AND DEVICE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT

FIELD: extinguishing of fires of highly-inflammable and inflammable liquids, solid combustible materials by supply to protective room (fire seat) of fire-extinguishing aerosol produced by burning of solid-fuel charge from aerosol of fire-extinguishing composition based on nitrates and/or perchlorates of alkali metals, organic and/or metal combustibles, coolers and/or process additives. SUBSTANCE: prior to or simultaneously with supply of aerosol, the secondary reagent (carbon dioxide and/or orthophosphoric acid) is supplied in weight ratio with solid fuel charge of (1:0.5)-(1:100). Aerosol screening curtains in fire zone are formed with aerosol produced by burning of soot-forming mixture and mixed with carbon-dioxide with weight ratio of soot-forming mixture and carbon dioxide of (0.5:1)-(7:1). The offered method is realized with the device having body with charge of aerosol of fire-extinguishing composition, initiating unit, cylinder with secondary reagent. In this case, space between outlet of combustion chamber and charge of aerosol of fire-extinguishing composition is filled with filler (for instance, potassium perchlorate or soot-forming mixture) with weight ratio of charge and filler of (1:4)-(10:1).
