APPARATUS FOR EXTRACTING FLESH FROM SHELLS

FIELD: reprocessing of shells, such as common whelk. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has washing device formed as immovable vertical cylindrical drum provided with shaft and disks arranged in axial alignment with it. Ribs extending in radial directions on one side of each disk are formed as plates with upper edge beveled from center to periphery of disk. Baffle formed as conical housing is mounted between disks. Lower end of washing device drum has closure and is immersed into separator having bath with beveled wall. Bath is filled with liquid to the level of baffle. Pan formed as plate is attached to separator bath side wall. Branch pipes for supplying liquid to separator are mounted below lower end of drum. Crusher is arranged above top end of drum and provided with auxiliary shaft. Projections on shaft surface are in line with shaft engagement path in alternation with and between projections on opposite shaft. EFFECT: increased efficiency in separating shell flesh from shell fragments and increased flesh yield. 6 dwg
