Damaged upper layer of barrel is removed by turning down on lathe. Ring collar having width equal to 0.01-0.03 length of barrel is built up on each edge of it. Arc deposition is performed along helical line from center of barrel to its edges. Arc deposition can be performed in opposite direction. EFFECT: increased resistance of drum and diminished welding deformations. 1 cl.
