Zusammenfassung:	FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: crankshaft is provided with two spiral grooves on each main journals and crankpins. One of the grooves goes to the flange for fixing the flywheel in the direction of crankshaft rotation, another one goes to the front end of the crankshaft in the direction opposite to its rotation. The spiral pitch provides each groove to make full turn over the shortest main journals or crankpins of the crankshaft. The profile of each groove in the section perpendicular to its axis is a semicircle with a radius from 1.75% to 2% of the radius of the main journal or crankpin.
