METHOD OF PROCESSING OF PRODUCTS BASED ON CHALCOGENIDES OF BASE METALS CONTAINING METALS OF PLATINUM GROUP AND GOLD

FIELD: metallurgy of noble metals; refining of metals of platinum group. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes fusing together of products based on chalcogenides of base metals containing metals of platinum group and gold with additives of base elements including carbon reducer. Then, settling is carried out and cooling of melt to solidification, separation of solidified product by formed phase boundaries and recovery of noble metals from bottom heavy phase. Used simultaneously as additives to alloy containing metals of platinum group and gold based, mainly, on selenides and tellurides of copper, iron and lead are compounds of sodium and products containing metal alloys based on copper and/or iron including scrap of technical articles based on copper and/or iron containing noble metals. Separated bottom product is ground into powder which is processed as refining concentrate. In processing of matte-like light alloys, recovery of noble metals into desired product is increased. The offered method provides for possibility of processing of various raw materials of noble metals including secondary raw materials based on alloys of copper and/or iron, for instance, electronic scrap, wastes of cast iron articles and others.
