End of the wire protruding from the bone is inserted into hole 3 in plate 2. Holes are drilled in bone and sharp pointed ends of limbs 4 are brought through them. U-shaped clamp is hammered in into the bone and the wire is removed. Screw is introduced through hole 3 up to the stop and additional compression is applied.
