Zusammenfassung:FIELD: repair and recovery of railway wheels. SUBSTANCE: method involves arranging wheel in position close to vertical; positioning two wire electrodes in upper part of wheel relative to base adjacent to ridge base in intersecting planes; positioning first electrode at an angle of 15-20 deg and second electrode at an angle of 20-35 deg to wheel end surface; orienting first electrode in radial plane spaced from wheel vertical plane of symmetry by distance of 50-60 mm and orienting second electrode in plane positioned at an angle of 10-15 deg and extending through upper part of ridge base; providing arc burning during fusing process in separate baths and remelting by second arc of metal fused by first arc. Wheel is preliminarily heated. Fused layer is formed by flat annular rolls. Apparatus has column with horizontal strip carrying flux feeding mechanism, wire feeding mechanism and inclined support. Mechanism for adjusting position of fusing burners mounted on support has combination of axles connected in U-shaped and T-shaped pattern. Axles are connected by cable clamps allowing fusing heads to be arranged at predetermined angles in intersecting planes and burners to be oriented in ridge fusing zone. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of recovered wheels. 4 cl, 3 dwgn
