ELECTRIC-ARC GAS HEATER

FIELD: gas heating appliances. SUBSTANCE: electric-arc gas heater has supply channel 3, plasmatron with solenoids 5 around electrodes 1, 2, and current modulator 7 incorporating provision for phase and relative pulse duration adjustment and inserted in solenoids. Gas supply channel also houses flow modulator 4 accommodating flow transducer 6 whose output is connected to input of current modulator 7. The latter may be made, for example, of cut-off thyristor switch 8, comparator 9, reference-voltage source 11, and phase-shifting device 10 inserted between output of transducer 6 and one of inputs of comparator 9 whose second input is connected to output of adjustable reference-voltage source 11; comparator output is connected to control input of cut-off thyristor switch 9 which is connected to circuit via at least one of windings of solenoids 5.
