METHOD FOR STRAIGHTENING ELONGATED PRODUCTS

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely technique for straightening by elastoplastic bending at producing hydraulic cylinders, housings and plungers of depth sucker rod pumps and other high-accuracy elongated articles. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring curvature of article, placing it onto supports and acting upon article by effort for creating its elastoplastic bending in axial plane. Plastic bending of article is realized in cross section of straightening zone by equal values in two arbitrary mutually normal planes. At each operation of plastic bending value of residual plastic bending is determined in plane normal relative to acting effort. Direction of symmetry axis of strength parameters is also determined in cross section of straightening zone. At first straightening is realized at acting upon article by effort normal relative to said symmetry axis of strength parameters of article and then - along said symmetry axis.
