Zusammenfassung: | FIELD: catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carriers for catalysts, including palladium ones destined for oxidation and selective hydrogenation reactions. Method consists in formation granules in the form of extrudates or balls made from aluminum oxide mass peptized by nitric acid and subsequent heat treatment of granules at 1000-1200 C. As aluminum oxide mass, alumina with plasticizing, burned off, and modifying additives is used. Plasticizing additive may be active aluminum oxide and/or reprecipitated hydroxide, and burned off additive may be zirconium and/or lanthanum oxides in nitric acid solution. So aluminum oxide mass contains (in wt %): active aluminum oxide and/or reprecipitated hydroxide (on conversion to Al2O3), 5-50; graphite, 2-10; zirconium and/or lanthanum oxides in nitric acid solution, 0.3-1.0; alumina, the balance.
